Update from the Netspectrum Team and news about new towers
Since our last update, the team here at Netspectrum has been very very busy and hard at work on expanding our coverage areas to increase our reach so that we can bring our service to more of our customers.
We are pleased and excited to share with you that we have almost completed the largest build phase our network has ever gone through.

We are proud to inform you that as of today we have successfully deployed high grade SSL Certificates on all of our services which require any sort of login or which contain any sort of sensitive information.
Netspectrum is getting to the size where we are becoming targets for Internet Hackers and Malicious Users, so this step is only natural for us to further protect your data when you are using services located on our Netspectrum domain.
Our users now also have the option to use SSL Encryption when sending or receiving e-mails from their E-Mail clients and being able to trust that the connection is secure.
On Wednesday April 6 2011, we will be performing maintenance on our McKellar tower which will cause interruptions of service in the McKellar/Manitouwabing/Waubmik/Harris Lake areas. Maintenance will run from approximately 11:00am until 6:00pm.
Service for all of our customers on our Mattawa site has been upgraded to the Canopy system which will allow for increased bandwidth and better performance during peak utilization.
All new customers will be put on this system by default.

We are excited to introduce our new website to the public! The new website was designed with dial-up users in mind and simplicity and ease of use.
With this new site, we are introducing a new method of signing up for our service and a new method of dealing with our company - http://support.netspectrum.ca. This new system will allow our customers to interface with all of our staff so that customers can get quicker responses and also have a service history when they call or e-mail.
The new service also includes a handy knowledge base which will have articles about common questions we get asked (For example, how to setup an e-mail account in Outlook 2007) and will also allow us to provide authorized downloads and links to programs which we endorse.
This new service has not previously been available to the public but will allow us to enhance our response times and streamline your experience when submitting a new request for service or for technical support.
